my dad takes me on the best dates

Just about exactly a year ago we went to see Neko Case at the Uptown, which was awesome of course. (And it was his idea because he's that much cooler than me.)

A few nights ago we headed towards downtown to sit on the rooftop at Hamburger Mary before heading to the Tivoli to see Micmacs.

Being, like, out of the country and stuff, I had no idea what Micmacs was, and didn't do any googling before we went, but if you like the quirk and piano of Amelie, I think you'll like this one too (same director). Lots of laughs.
